Nintendo Goes to the Navy for Help, Did You Say Free Consoles and Games?
Getting clothes for the Holiday Season isn’t out of my typical range of gifts received. Heck, I’m thankful that I get anything considering I’ve presumably landed on the Naughty List for approximately 20 years straight. But I digress.
Today, Nintendo and Old Navy announced a partnership that doesn’t ‘sock’. The newly announced tag-team duo will bring yet another location where you can spend some hands-on time with the new Nintendo console. The kiosk’s will feature playable demos of New Super Mario Bros. U and go from Nov. 22-24. Outside of the demo, Mario will be on site to kick off Old Navy’s ‘Cheermageddon’ event.
Those who line up early outside an Old Navy store on Black Friday and spend $40 will have their chance at a free copy of New Super Mario Bros. U. (quantities of course are limited). They will also receive a special game card in stores giving them a shot at winning one of 1,000 Nintendo Wii U consoles. If you would like to simply take part in the fun, there will also be backdrops for photo ops available in stores.
Other large city locations such as San Francisco (801 Market St., San Francisco, CA, 94103) and New York (150 W. 34th St., New York, NY, 10001) will have other available kiosks and demo stations. Other boasted perks include Nintendo costumed characters themselves.
