Hey U, Go Buy Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition Today

If you are one of those lucky enough to find a pre-order for the Nintendo Wii U Deluxe Set, there is more good news on the way. Well, that is if you like Batman. Who doesn’t, right?

Today, Warner Bros. announced that the highly anticipated Wii U launch title is already shaped up and shipping out to retailers. The game will be available for purchase prior to the November 18, 2012 Nintendo Wii U launch.

“The team at WB Games Montréal focused on developing new features for Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition in order to create an immersive gameplay experience on the Wii U and Wii U GamePad,” said Reid Schneider, Vice President and Executive Producer, WB Games Montréal. “Rocksteady made an outstanding game with Batman: Arkham City, so we believe Batman fans will be thrilled with the enhanced combat and new gameplay elements added on Wii U.”

So, if you are truly antsy in the pantsy, you can head down to a local retailer and check their supply of Wii U games. Who knows what other goodies you might find out there?

For those wondering, the Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition brings more than just a revamped titled geared towards Nintendo players. The controller offers Battle Armored Tech (B.A.T.) combat mode, which utilizes the functions of the Wii U GamePad. Other things include new Armored Suits for characters. Batman and Catwoman have never looked so stealthy. Or maybe they have, but you just didn’t notice them due to their stealthy behaviors?

The suits aren’t just for looks. The upgrade in armor offers the ability to store kinetic energy from hits taken in combat. Players can then use the functions of the B.A.T. mode to engage and disarm foes running amuck in the city. As seen in many of the trailers, players can add a certain depth to gameplay with the use of the touch screen and other functions of player inventory.
