Get Point Blank with Zombies in this New ZombiU Multiplayer Trailer

It’s interesting to see just how exactly developers are utilizing the touch screen of the Wii U GamePad. This was one of the first things that a lot of Nintendo fans, and gamers in general, had in mind when the new console first reared its head. This new trailer for ZombiU shows off just how creative you can get with a simple touch interface.

The mode seen here in the trailer is the exactly the first hands-on I had with the game. It was during E3 2012 and the Nintendo booth was buzzing like a beehive. The trailer for the game had been previewed a few times and people were simply impressed. I was also one of those.

The multiplayer shown is the “King of the Zombies” mode. In this mode, one person plays using the Wii U GamePad while the other uses the pro controller. The person using the gamepad will drop zombies into locations on the map and try to overwhelm the gunner with strategy. Well that, and the use of flesh eating brainless bodies.

The person who is doing the shooting must avoid the herd, drop turrets (seen in the video) and capture given points. This mode worked well hands-on and gave players something more than just your typical survival mode. This opens up the game to co-op modes where only one person need be somewhat familiar with first person shooter skills.

ZombiU is set to launch November 18, 2012 alongside the Nintendo Wii U.

-Devil May Cry is set to release on January 15, 2013. There is no set date for the dlc pack as of yet.
