Watch the Boom! in this New Wii U Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Trailer
It’s often said that the simple things in life are the most pleasing. Er, something like that. If you take a look at this new trailer from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for the Nintendo Wii U, you’ll get a taste of that.
I’ve always wondered where my rockets, shells, and other miscellaneous dispensed weapons went after firing them. Of course they were on their way to knock someone out of the race, but there was never really an impact. Just a little icon of their racer spinning out of control on the map of the race track. The Wii U Gamepad allows you to view those crashes and see the commotion going on right behind you.
Other features have been well known to the Wii U community. Switching between on screen gaming and going to the pad is the benefit of the console. No matter how gimmicky that may seem, it does seem like a lifesaver for those with the console in the family room or in the presence of an unruly spouse.
Some of the other features seen in this trailer are things like the 5-player split screen mode, giving players the option to game with the pad and still use the TV. This opens up the game to an online 10-player mode for those looking to add little Susie or Johnny into the gaming mix.
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed launches on the Nintendo Wii U November 18, 2012.
