Ubisoft Announces Official Far Cry 3 Mod for Minecraft

Ubisoft has announced an interesting mod that allows gamers to experience the warped chaos of Far Cry 3 in the mega-popular voxel block-building PC Indie Minecraft. The upcoming free mod adds a variety of humorous textures to the game inspired right from Far Cry 3, including a variety of tropical environments and characters straight out of the upcoming release, all redesigned to fit Minecraft‘s distinct style.

“With the map modded by Michael Lambert (Sacr3, creator of Newcraft City), a well known Minecraft enthusiast, and artists Axel Janssen and Yohann Delcourt responsible for the textures, the Far Cry 3 inspired pack will be released for free on PC via the Far Cry official website.” –Official Press Release

The official mod also features 50 Easter Eggs hidden throughout the map and a variety of tools to utilize for the ultimate survival experience.

The Far Cry 3 mod for Minecraft will be available for free on Oct. 26, 2012 for PC.
