Nintendo Price Cuts Wii, Can You Smell a Black Friday Deal?
The gaming community seem to be the only ones in the know when it comes to the Nintendo Wii successor.
Today, Nintendo announced that the original motion controlled console that turned gaming on its head will get a hefty price cut. The console that launched back in 2006 will have a new price point of $129.99 by October 28th.
The console will include Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort along with the sleek black version of the Wii.
“Nearly six years after it launched, people are still attracted to the pure, inclusive fun of the Wii console,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “A new suggested retail price and the inclusion of two great games make it an easy choice for families looking for a great value this holiday season.”
Even with the Nintendo Wii getting a price cut, my pleasantly frugal senses tell me to not grab one just yet. If you haven’t picked up the console before, then another month won’t kill you.
With the console only being $30 away from $100, my best guess is that retailers will have this gnarly deal for a hundred flat. It is only speculation, but if I’m right, then please–mark my words.
