Quick, to the eShop! Crosswords and Art Make my Dream Radar “Gangnam” Style Savvy
Not everyone likes to blast aliens, or stomp on Koopas. Maybe they do–just not all of the time. In the case of over exposure to turtle shells one must reach for their artsy-smartsy style that is waiting to be unleashed.
Nintendo released Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone! and Crosswords Plus in retail and digital form. These two titles aren’t typical family style games that you’d expect, but they do however still strive to present something that anyone can pick up and play.
Both titles are available for the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL in retail stores or in the eShop for $29.99.
If you were looking to get back to the stomping and point scoring, then you might want to check out the New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coin Rush Mode levels. There are a few different options for level packs, or are there? Make sure to check out the official site and our breakdown for your viewing pleasure.
Release Date: October 7th, 2012
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Developer: Creatures Inc.
The Pokémon Dream Radar was announced some time ago as a compliment to the release of Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2.
The goal of the radar is to detect Pokémon using the camera and gyroscope’s augmented reality feature. Using the exterior cameras, players can transport the Pokémon that they find in the real world into the new versions of the game. Even though the versions are only a DS release, at least players of the 3DS have an exclusive feature to look forward to.
The price is still being determined, but Nintendo should do the right thing and offer it for free being that it is only available on the Nintendo 3DS. There shouldn’t be a penalty of price for buying and playing a DS game on your 3D console.
Release Date: October 22, 2012

The game features a few areas where you can dress according to the challenge, or send a model down the runway.

Usually, there are only a few honorable mentions during our “Quick, to the eShop!” segment. Most of which are puzzlers or other miscellaneous brain tester-type games. This week’s release brings with it some pizzazz. Such acclaimed titles as Cave Story (eShop) and the classic Dr. Mario (eShop) are far from simple teasers.
If you were looking forward to Samurai G, you might want to think twice after reading this review from Cliffy B., our local Nintendo fanatic.
Other platform titles include Academy: Chess Puzzles (eShop/DSiWare) and Drop Zone: Under Fire (WiiWare). There is also a new Dinosaur Office vid titled “The New Owners”.
Quick, to the eShop! is your one stop shop for the weekly rundown of Nintendo downloadable titles.
