The Wonderful 101 Launching Alongside Wii U

Among the 50 games announced as launch titles for the Wii U, which include such big names as Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition and Mass Effect 3 Special Edition, is a little title that might have been overlooked: The Wonderful 101. A game with a title like that probably doesn’t catch your attention right away. However it certainly did draw the gaze of many gamers when it was announced at E3 2012 under its original name, Project P-100.

After watching the latest gameplay trailers, we can see that the name is the only thing that developer Platinum Games has changed. The Wonderful 101 still follows the formula first demoed back in June. In The Wonderful 101, gamers control a horde of little heroes that have the power to congeal and form weapons such as a sword, fist or gun, all the while fighting giant robots bent on city-wide destruction.

We got to check out the first mission of the game back at E3, and we walked away pretty happy with what we played. Check out the new trailer and screenshots below.

The Wonderful 101 will launch alongside the Nintendo Wii U on Nov. 18.
