Resident Evil 6 Launch DLC Gets Officially Official, Confirmed Official Announcement

After seeing hints dropped on the Japanese Xbox 360 feed, fans of Resident Evil 6 knew there was something hidden underneath that Umbrella.

The content will launch alongside the release date October 2nd, but other news brings additional content that will be added. Three new modes have been confirmed today, those being Survivor, Predator and Siege. Each of these can house up to six players online, which is comforting to know you’ll have others fighting by your side. These three modes will also use the maps from the Mercenaries Mode.

Here is a full breakdown of each mode:

Survivors Mode takes the classic solo- and team-based versus mode and adds a twist. Get killed and you respawn as an enemy character with the ability to attack the human characters. Take down two human characters to resurrect in human form. Last man or team standing wins.

In Predator Mode, one player takes on the role of the Ustanak, the fearsome B.O.W. that stalks Jake Muller throughout his campaign, and tries to eliminate the human players. The humans’ task: stop the deadly B.O.W. in its tracks, or at least survive until the end of the session.

Choosing the human side in Siege Mode will see players protecting a single NPC, while as a member of the enemy team, players will need to eliminate that same NPC. If the NPC is still alive at the end of the time period, the human team wins

As mentioned in a previous post, ResidentEvil.Net will launch alongside the release as well. This offers players a Battlelog type feature that can track kills and other stats. The network of stats is free and offers quite a comprehensive layout. From kills, weapons used, to posting that score right up on Twitter–there is no doubt that this will be a very well connected experience.

I mean, who doesn’t want to share with their family and friends when you blow the snot out of a zombie?

There will also be additional maps added to the Mercenaries Mode, which can be used in the others mentioned. There is also promise of more content yet to be announced.
