Borderlands 2 Mechromancer Class Releases October, Season Pass Detailed
Gearbox has announced the release date for the Mechromancer, a robot-centric class in Borderlands 2n which will be available for free to those who pre-order the game.
The pack will be released on Oct. 16, nearly a month after the game. It will go for $10 (800 MSP) if you choose not to pre-order.
The class is unique to the others in that it will allow you to choose between two very distinct modes of play. Players can choose a mode that allows them to stack abilities, or a mode designed to help unskilled players.
Her skill tree is called Best Friends Forever, appropriate since the Mechromancer is hardly without her big robot companion, Deathtrap. The skill tree is said to be designed with unskilled players in mind. So those who aren’t really into shooters take note.
Gearbox also announced during PAX that it plans on jumping in the Season Pass boat by offering one for Borderlands 2 for $30. The company revealed that there will be four DLC campaign packs released following the game’s launch, going for $9.99 (800 MSP) each. Opting for the Season Pass will allow you to save $10 if you plan on going all out on the DLC.
Borderlands 2 is the hotly anticipated sequel to Gearbox Software’s Borderlands, which released in 2009. Borderlands 2 will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC starting on Sept. 18, 2012.
