Many of you may be wondering what the hell They Bleed Pixels is. Well, it’s probably one of the most fantastic bit-style Indie platformers released this year. With it’s hilarious and gratuitous violence, pixellated bit-style graphics, and sensible side-scrolling platforming aspects, They Bleed Pixels not only delivers an enthralling and enjoyable experience but also transports gamers back to the golden NES day of gaming.

“They Bleed Pixels is a fast-paced, gothic lo-fi, platforming beat’em up that drips, gushes and flows.” –Spooky Squid Games

What’s even better is now you can experience the game in it’s entirety! That’s right, you can get your very own copy of Spooky Squid’s pixellated goodness right this minute on Steam.

Why should you pick up They Bleed Pixels, you may ask?

Well if you’re a fan of old-school retro style Indies, you’ll assuredly love this title. Not only does it incorporate many aspects found in nearly all of the platforming greats that define the genre, but it throws some Super Meat Boy-style madness into the mix with buzz saws and puzzler-style hazards to make one delicious (but volatile) cocktail of insane gameplay.

Also, if you’re like me and feel these types of games should be experienced with a controller, try using Joy2Key (Google’s your best friend, trust me) with a USB controller (X360 controllers work great in this regard).

Check the trailer and galleries below and feast your eyes on some 8-bit Indie sweetness.

They Bleed Pixels is now available for PC via Steam for $7.99. For more information on They Bleed Pixels and the studio that developed it, Spooky Squid Games, please visit their official website or checkout their Facebook page.
