EA and Linkin Park Make Sweet Music Together for Medal of Honor Warfighter
EA and rock band Linkin Park have joined forced–hopefully for the sake of good–to produce in-game scores for Medal of Honor Warfighter. The company hopes that the music “will add depth and emotion to an already intense gameplay experience.”
One of the songs featured in the band’s latest album, Living Things, “Castle of Glass,” will also be included in the game.
“Linkin Park has always shown a great deal of respect and gratitude for our servicemen and women, many of whom are fans of their music,” Greg Goodrich, executive producer of Medal of Honor, said in the official press release. “Partnering with them for the Medal of Honor Warfighter soundtrack and the ‘CASTLE OF GLASS’ music video is a natural fit for us. We have shared values and respect for these heroes from many different nations–and their families–who serve on our behalf around the world.”
“Linkin Park’s involvement with the 2010 reboot of Medal of Honor was a hugely positive experience for all of us,” Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park said. “The opportunity to take this creative collaboration several steps further was something that we knew we had to be a part of.”
EA has also released this video that goes behind the scenes of the “Castle of Glass” music video, being made with EA, and includes insight from Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington on the collaboration project.
Medal of Honor Warfighter will be available Oct. 23, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
