Star Wars: The Old Republic Now Has Less than One Million Subscribers
When we reported yesterday that BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic will be adopting a free-to-play model up to level 50 later this year, I had a few concerns.
Well apparently on the same day those concerns were justified when publisher Electronic Arts confirmed during an investors call that the game has “well over” 500,000 subscribers, far fewer than the nearly 2 million the game began with when it launched last December.
In January the game had around 1.7 million subscribers which quickly dropped to 1.3 million. Gamers who have played the game blame the drops on poor support.
Right now you can download the trial edition of the game and play up to level 15.
