Upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC Expands On Multiplayer

Are you all done with the Extended Edition? Yes? Good, now we can dance ourselves back to Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer mode with gusto. And wouldn’t you know it? Bioware announced today that multiplayer will soon be expanded with a free DLC pack. Titled, Mass Effect 3: Earth, the pack will add three new maps: Firebase London, Firebase Rio De Janeiro and Firebase Vancouver.
The pack will also come with new playable characters, new weapons, a new “Platinum” difficulty and new mission objectives.
In total the pack will include:
- Three new maps
- Six new playable characters: N7 Demolisher Engineer, N7 Destroyer Soldier, N7 Fury Adept, N7 Sentinel Paladin, N7 Shadow Infiltrator and N7 Slayer Vanguard
- New weapons: N7 Piranha Shotgun, N7 Typhoon Assault Rifle and Acolyte Pistol
- 12 new modifications and 11 unique upgrades
- New In-Mission Objective: Randomly occurring during waves 3, 6 and 10, this new objective will challenge teams to keep a targeted agent alive by protecting and escorting them to a designated extraction zone on each map
- Platinum difficulty
The pack will be available for download on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC via Origin, on July 17.
