Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD Heads to PC
Activision announced today that the HD optimized version of skateboarding classic, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, will be available on PC this summer. THPS HD is set to also come out on Xbox LIVE Arcade on July 18 as part of the Summer of Arcade, while the PS3 version will release alongside the PC version at an unspecified date.
The game will come stocked with the classic single-player campaign as well as some new and classic game modes. Hawkman makes the return from Proving Ground, and allow gamers to fly about levels collecting colored pellets (waka waka). Big Head Survival, Trick Attack, Graffiti and Free Skate are also among the list of different game modes to try out.
According to the press release, there has been some talk regarding manuals as part of trick combos. This message was released for those wondering: “You can do manuals as part of trick combos in
THPS HD. Given the fact that this game combines the best gameplay from THPS1 and THPS2, reverts will not work as part of trick combos in the initial launch of THPS HD as that mechanic was not introduced until THPS3. However, reverts will work in the post-release DLC for the THPS3 levels, as those levels were originally designed to accommodate this.”
