SEGA Ready to Show Off At San Diego Comic Con-2012

SEGA has seen some trouble as of late but it certainly isn’t being gun-shy about showing off at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The developer and publisher will not only showcase its biggest titles of the year at the SEGA Arcade, which will only be there for a short while, but has plenty of exciting events in store for Comic-Con goers.

The SEGA Arcade, located at 200 Harbor Drive, Suite 120, will feature Gearbox Software’s Aliens: Colonial Marines and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for Comic-Con patrons to enjoy. The arcade will also have Danica Patrick’s custom No. 7 Sonic the Hedgehog/ Chevrolet on display.

Syd Mead, conceptual artist for “Aliens” and also worked on Aliens: Colonial Marines, will be on-site signing limited prints of his concept art of the USS Sulaco, a ship featured in both the “Aliens” film and Colonial Marines. He will be signing the prints on Friday, July 13, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

SEGA and Dark Horse will be giving away and exclusive (and free!) Aliens: Colonial Marines comic at Booth #2615 as well as the SEGA Pop-Op Arcade in downtown San Diego.

Finally, Sonic Boom will head to San Diego and be held on Friday, July 13, at the House of Blues in San Diego from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Musical guests for the night include Crush 40, the band that provided music to Sonic titles since Sonic Adventure 2, and special guests Alex and JP Makhlouf from Cash Cash, which worked on the soundtrack to Sonic Generations. Takashi Iizuka, head of Sonic Team, and Steve Lycett, executive producer at Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed developer Sumo Digital, will also be in attendance.

Want tickets to the event? Well then give this a click and away you go!
