WARFRAME Teases for Free, Co-Op for You and Me
Gaming these days can come with all sorts of price ranges. You can scoop up a great title in a bargain bin at your local gaming store, or grab a PC steal on Steam. Heck, nowadays you can find massive multiplayer titles and get away with paying nothing more than attention.
Digital Extremes wants you to suit up like a futuristic ninja and fight for your freedom. From the trailer, we see a stop motion scene of battle and enemy destruction. The game takes place in the depths of space during the triumph of the Grineer species over the Tenno. The Tenno then arm themselves with the WARFRAME suits. The exo-skeleton is an ancient suit which only the Tenno can operate, but there are more out there for them to discover and utilize for battle. For anyone who has ever watched the anime or movie, the image looks a lot like that of “The Guyver” suit.
The game itself is primarily based around the PvE concept. It also boasts something which MMO players are fond of, which is the all-important raid. It looks as though the game will offer this same archetype and bring that F2P style back to the PC.
“WARFRAME is a new name for an old game,” explained Steve Sinclair, chief creative director at Digital Extremes. “It was a shelved concept we kept coming back to. High-tech machine-gun Ninjas set in a far-future, over hyphenated, Manga-Dune mash-up. Free-to-play lets us take risks. It allows us to build WARFRAME with our players.”
Make sure to check out the BETA which can be found here. Players can also sign up on during launch this winter.
