Ubisoft Sets New Far Cry 3 Release Date
Sometimes things really are just too good to be true. If you thought that it wouldn’t be long before you got to step into the role of survival enthusiast Jason Brody–looks like you’ll have to wait on filling that renegade role.
Ubisoft announced today that the initial release date for Far Cry 3 has been changed. Fans of the series won’t be able to sink their teeth into the game in Europe and outlying areas until Nov. 29 and not until Dec. 4 here in the United States. Well, if that didn’t take the wind out of my Monday morning sails I don’t know what else can.
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”
I feel that the push to change the date is something completely understandable. Fans are going to want that full ‘Cry experience, something which might take the development team that much longer to polish up. This might also give them time to fix and digest the feedback given from various hands on experiences and fan reactions to the game stemming from its multiplayer.
Also, from images and videos, the game is looking to be nothing short of massive. Fans are expecting the team to deliver big time and it seems as though they are ensuring just that. After all, they are expected to present one epic experience on one helluva scale. A few extra months won’t harm me as I wait patiently through the burning months of summer to have Far Cry 3 warm me up in the winter.
