Disney Interactive Aims to Please with the Launch of Brave: The Video Game
Disney Interactive is looking to make it three successful video game tie-ins in a row. Disney is commonly known for filling the summer with one smash hit after another, first with the Toy Story games’ Toy Box Mode, which allowed players to be their favorite Toy Story characters in an open world environment; then to the frantic racing and battle modes in Cars 2: The Video Game. Disney Interactive continues to be in a league of its own with critically acclaimed movie tie-ins.
The studio is hoping to keep this success streak alive with Brave: The Video Game. Like the others, Disney is stepping away from the notion of retelling the movie on screen and allowing the game to expand up it.
“The exciting action-adventure gameplay that takes place in Brave: The Video Game expands the tale beyond the movie’s storyline, giving fans both a fun and engaging gaming experience,” said Javier Ferreira, Senior Vice President of Publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. “Brave: The Video Game allows players to truly be part of this exciting fantasy adventure, full of the rich storytelling heritage and quality that Disney•Pixar does best.”
With its classic over the top third person view resembling a number of our favorite retro games, Brave: The Video Game looks like it will be fun for the entire family. As an added bonus, the console versions of the game offers motion control moves for some realistic bow shooting.
With the hustle of the season, we actually can’t wait to get our hands on Brave’ and review this Disney Interactive title.
