E3: Nintendo Wii U eShop Gets Indie Games, Starting with this one
Chasing Aurora is one of the first indie games that the Nintendo eShop looks to be receiving. The title is a physics based 2D game that visits that dream of human flight.
In this Icarus-type tale, you must collect shards of the sun and escape corridors filled with plenty of obstacles. Creatures littered in these areas look to end your flight, not to mention the other creature known as the human.
Keeping with the indie feel, the games soundtrack will be composed by Christof Dienz. The game also features single and multiplayer styles of play. The art style alone looks to bring to life the animated world of flight, but it will also tell the story without the use of words. This is both bold and great way to immerse players to pilot the airways.
Prices for the title are to be determined, but the release date does bring a 2012 time frame. This also gives hope that the eShop will be available at launch or shortly after. Chasing Aurora has later platforms to be announced.
