Theatrhythm Final Fantasy has a Chaos Shrine and You Don’t
The Final Fantasy series has always been about two things: story and music. Well, three if you also throw characters into the same pool. Oh, and RPG gameplay mechanics. Oh and….never mind.
So, there are a lot of things that make the title a long-lasting tradition in gaming. But, we didn’t lie when we said the music of the series plays an important part of the game. In fact, for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy–it is the game. A newly announced mode, the Chaos Shrine, is unlocked through the ‘Rhythmia’ that is acquired after clearing various songs.
In this shrine, players can jam to field and battle tunes that are randomly created. These songs are called Dark Notes and can be shared via StreetPass and console-to-console.
More than that of any other second rate shrine out there, this one is bringing the goods. New characters, rare items, and new songs can all be found from playing these notes, making the epic sounds of Final Fantasy more than just a score to score.
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is slated to release in NA July 3rd, 2012.
