Blip Festival Returns to NYC

The 2012 Blip Festival will be back in New York City on May 25, 2012. What’s Blip Festival, you ask? It’s one part concert, one part convention, and all parts chiptunes. Chiptune musicians and visual artists from all over will take over NYC’s intimate Gramercy Theatre to drown your senses with retro synth-y goodness. This year’s festival will bring over 20 shows during the course of three nights, and feature performances from the likes of Bit Shifter, Nullsleep and Omodaka. Workshops will be held throughout the day, and events in the days leading up to the festival include a screening of chip music documentary “Reformat The Planet” on May 23, and open mic night on May 24.

Tickets can be purchased for individual nights ($31) or in the form of three-day passes ($64). Set times and additional event info for Blip Festival are available here.
