There Will be No Sparkly Vampires in NeocoreGames’ Van Helsing RPG
Ever since this society started sexualizing undead blood suckers, the vampire has lost all respect. Today vampires go after emotionless high school girls…when not being befuddled by modern day electronics as Johnny Depp.
I don’t believe the NeocoreGames’ upcoming action RPG, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, will change things anytime soon, but the team is doing one thing right by loosely basing the game on Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Releasing later this year for Xbox LIVE Arcade, the game will feature an artistic gothic-noir setting. The game follows the son of Van Helsing as he takes on supernatural beings such as steampunk werewolves with mechanical parts, as seen from the concept art below, and more.
“Being located in Eastern Europe and having experience developing RPGs, Van Helsing is a natural fit for us; it’s a project where we can demonstrate our expertise in both domains and create something novel that RPG fans can appreciate,” Viktor Juhász, lead writer at NeocoreGames, said in a press release. “We’ve always enjoyed crafting games from legendary tales, but with our own twist, and Van Helsing provides us the perfect game world to experiment with.”
