Leaked Rayman Legends Trailer Shows NFC Tech

Looks like I’ll be sporting an empty wallet during the holiday season. If this leaked trailer is the real deal–we are going to be in store for a real kicker. Near Field Communication (NFC) was floating around as a rumored technology for the console, but it looks like Rayman Legends might be just one example of how the technology can easily be used in game.

This opens plenty of doors for the console, not to mention developers, to merge real and virtual worlds. The technology, in this case, allows physical objects to be scanned and then dropped into the game. The content does seem legit and the graphics seem to align with the Wii U and promise to also bring the console into the HD realm.

Thanks to Silver Sleet for housing the YouTube vid.
