Halo 4 Live-Action Web Series Debuts This Fall

Following the lead that Mortal Kombat took last year with Mortal Kombat Legacy, Variety has revealed that Halo 4 will first make its entertainment debut as a live-action web series.

The series, named Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, will debut on Machinama’s Youtube channel and Halo waypoint later this Fall.

The decision to start development of the series stems from the short live-action commercials and films made for prior Halo titles.

Forward Unto Dawn will be broken up into five installments, each 15 minutes in length. The story revolves around the Master Chief and how he inspires a young UNSC cadet to work hard and eventually end up being an important soldier himself.

While this isn’t the long-speculated movie announcement that fans have been waiting for, Forward Unto Dawn should make the proposition more intriguing for movie makers, if it’s done well.
