Yell at Skyrim with 200 New Voice Commands
The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim has probably consumed more of your life than you’d like to admit. You probably wish there were even more hours in the day so that you could keep questing. Today, Bethesda announced one other feature that should your spell and weapon swaps a bit easier for those enduring hours.
The game will now feature over 200 voice commands to release later this month. Navigation of the menus and Dragon Shouts will be done just by speaking them. This is particularly interesting simply because of the command list. Need to Barter and don’t feel like pushing that pesky old button? Boom! Other menu options such as Items, Magic, Map, Container, Favorites, and Skills can all be accessed in similar fashion. Players might also find enjoyment, particularly after being creamed by that giant that you thought you were too quick for, in the quick “Load” and “Save” prompts that are now accessible.
This also brings me to something that a lot of other games found displeasing with the ME3 Kinect incorporation. Although the game insists that it is bringing Kinect features into the game, have we forgotten that dangling thingy wrapped around our head that allows us to speak into it? Ya’know, that mic that is attached to your headset that came with your Xbox in the first place?
Regardless of whether or not you will be howling to find out where you currently are on the map, one thing for sure is, this announcement also comes with news of future DLC making its way exclusively to the Xbox 360. New quests, features and locations–which should add more than just voice prompts to the game.
