Majesco Announces Double Dragon: Neon for XBLA, PSN
Good news, arcade fans! Majesco is partnering with BloodRayne: Betrayal developer WayForward to bring the Lee brothers back to action.
Double Dragon: Neon will appear on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network this summer.
“Double Dragon: Neon is far from a standard retro remake,” Sean Velasco, director at WayForward said in a press release. “It’s WayForward’s love letter to the decade that spawned the franchise – the music, the style, and culture of the ’80s pulse through the nucleus of Double Dragon: Neon. But don’t think this is a simple graphical facelift; with our innovative ‘mix tape’ level up system and power-up high-fives, we pushed it to the limit!”
With drop-in/drop-out online co-op (bro-op?), Double Dragon: Neon is set to be an arcade-perfect ’80s revival of the franchise.
Look for more info soon, as the game will also be available during PAX East this week.
