Barry Burton DLC in Resident Evil: Revelations?

Everyone’s favorite bearded man Barry Burton might be available as DLC for Resident Evil: Revelations on the 3DS. In an interview with Masachika Kawata in the latest Nintendo Power, Kawata states that “He’s definitely a possibility if we do create any DLC for the game.” I know personally I’d like to romp with Barry in Raid Mode, so it will be interesting to see if anything comes from this!

  • i do not have any intention to buy dlc for nintendo consoles. revelations is a game that is as good as it gets. no dlc can really enhance the experience, except lengthening it, which is always something that is not desired. on the ps3 there is a good reason to buy dlc’s: so one can get these 100% again. on nintendo consoles nothing is forcing me to re-achieve some 100% state. so, with this “force” out of the picture, DLC becomes suddenly unnecessary, superfluous and cheab moneygrab, in all of which i am certainly not taking part in 😉 … i guess the developpers really should think 2 minutes forward before launching all their DLC-dreams which will become nightmares very soon.

    • In most cases I understand that, but if a game is as solid as Resident Evil: Revelations was, any additional stuff that isn’t mandatory, more of a fan service, is ok in my book. Trust me, I hate DLC as much as the next guy, but as long as there is a REASON for it, I’m ok with it.

  • Anybody that played Resident Evil: Revelations knows that despite it being a very polished game and with lots of replay value, that there were many things that could STILL be added by way of DLC’s.

    Such as:

    1. Making Rachel playable on Raid mode.  Either the human or Ooze version of the character would work.

    2. Add a sub-chapter where we see Raymond Vester and Rachel arrive on the Queen Zenobia and work against the clock to set things up (only those that played the game know what I’m talking about here).

    3. Add new costumes to be used on campaign mode. This was something other games from the series had. But not this one. You only change costumes on Raid mode. A DLC could fix that.

    4. Enhance Raid Mode with new features. Like being able to block annoying users, like the Stage 21 TROLLS who refuse to change their experience level to signal the rest of us about them simply wanting to “farm” that stage. Another thing they could add, is about being able to use the built-in MIC on the 3DS to talk to one another. Or at least being able to use a form of communication that goes beyond 4 commands. And Raid mode has a glitch in a level or two. Fix ’em, Capcom.
