First Look at the Hero of Assassin’s Creed III

Meet Ratohnhak√©:ton, but he’d rather you call him Connor.

A man of Native American and English descent, Connor finds himself swept up in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars during the late 18th century, hot in the middle of the American Revolution.

The hero of Assassin’s Creed III, Connor embarks on a journey taking him across the vast, untamed frontier lands of America, to colonial towns, to Native American villages, and everything in-between. Assassin’s Creed III carries the tradition of fast, fluid and deadly combat known for the series. Connor has use of, but is not limited to, weapons including bows and arrows, knives, hidden blades, and Connor’s staple weapon, the Tomahawk.

The story will place Connor in the middle of some of the American Revolution’s greatest battles where armies led by General George Washington clash with the might of the British Army.

From the official press release:

Assassin’s Creed III features the franchise’s most expansive setting so far, along with an exciting new hero and exponentially more gameplay,” said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft. “Whether you’re a longtime fan of Assassin’s Creed or if you’re new to the franchise, you’re going to be blown away by the scale and marvel of Assassin’s Creed III.”

Assassin’s Creed III is being developed and published by Ubisoft and will be released on Oct. 30, 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, and a later version will hit the Wii U.

Those who pre-order the game at GameStop, or Best Buy will get their order upgraded to the Limited Edition which features art from comic book artist Alex Ross.
