New Far Cry 3 ‘Dr. Earnhardt’ Trailer is Trippy, Mane

I’m finally glad to see more gameplay video’s surface for Far Cry 3. After seeing it behind the scenes at E3 2011, I have been waiting and wanting more to show for the rest of the gaming fans out there. It wasn’t enough for me to get a glimpse of the tantalizing visuals and not be able to share it. Well, sharing is caring.
We’ve got crazy Dr. Earnhardt thrown into the picture and judging by the islands inhabitants, he might not be so crazy after all.
Something else seen in the video is more than just some running and gunning. From the creatures of the ocean, to the ingestion of psychedelic drugs, there is more than just a bunch of crazies out for blood living on the island.
While prior Far Cry titles still focused around more than just your typical first person shooter experience, expect to see similar elements of realism and character development in this iteration. It is comforting to see the depth that Ubisoft is bringing to the living-breathing natural environment.
If you were wondering just who he is–check out Dr. Earnhardt’s bio:
Dr. Alec Earnhardt basks in an artificial glow of life generated by the pills he takes daily. He hails from Oxford and went sailing around the world after a personal tragedy. This is how he discovered Rook Island and all of the wonderful chemicals growing in the local flora. He set up a lab on the island and now makes his living selling drugs on the black market.
