The Gunstringer Goes Digital with the Devil
Twisted Pixel and Microsoft Studios are bringing the Devil to the Xbox LIVE Arcade. It was announced today that The Gunstringer will be introduced to the ever growing Games On Demand section for USD $29.99. The game has been seen bundled with the Kinect sensor itself and now returns to the format of digital distribution that Twisted Pixel has been accustomed to.
“The Gunstringer was our first retail game, but it’s nice that we were able to make it available digitally as well,” says Twisted Pixel’s Michael Wilford. “Digital distribution is key to the studio’s ambitions.” Then Technical Director Frank Wilson added, “yeah, that, and we didn’t have to do anything extra to make it work. The new DLC is pretty rad though.”
If you own a Kinect and have never played The Gunstringer, for shame. It was by far one of my favorite Kinect titles to play, particularly hosting that Twisted Pixel brand of flare in comedy. Even with the game seeing a price drop, there is still yet another reason to run through the West shootin’ anything that moves.
Along with the announcement of digital distribution, El Diablo’s ‘Merican Adventure, which is the second DLC pack for The Gunstringer, will bring a visit from Beelzebub himself. The DLC pack will hit for a mere 240 MS Points (USD $3.00). Even more reason for you to pick up that pointer finger and blast away at your TV like Eastwood himself.
