Mass Effect 3 Demo is LIVE

I still don’t know what you are doing reading this. Maybe you are sitting at work thinking, “Well, maybe I can go home sick?” Do it. Suddenly, your sporadic gout kicked in and you’ve just got to head home because you can’t stand the pain anymore. Whatever your excuse is–better make it a good one.

“I’m incredibly proud of what the team has accomplished with Mass Effect 3, and am very excited for fans around the world to experience something really special when they play the demo today,” said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series.

Rest assured the demo will also include the full voice recognition that players have been looking forward to. In fact, it is the first and only demo to support this feature.

Not only are we getting the ME3 demo today, but we have a little more Shepard to look forward to. During this week’s episode of The Walking Dead on AMC, a special trailer will debut. The CG trailer titled “Take Earth Back” will premiere this Sunday. Glad I will be right in front of my TV as usual for this viewing pleasure to ensue.

Other demo promises will include the multiplayer, which is a first for the franchise. The co-op portion of the demo will unlock February 17, 2012–but for those who their Battlefield 3 online pass activated, you will get access today. We hate you. Sincerely–The Rest of the World. Just kidding, we love you.

Follow this link to Xbox LIVE for the demo download.
