New Alan Wake’s American Nightmare Developer Diary
From Dusk Till Dawn is probably one of the most vivid depictions of vampire survival. For those who aren’t familiar with the film, don’t take my word or explanation for it–just go watch it. I’m not going to explain how two shoddy criminals wind up in a big heaping mess of roadhouse vampires and must survive the night with nothing but their bare hands and wits. I’m not going to do that. Plus, a movie with Danny Trejo pretty much sells itself. So, what’s this got to do with Alan Wake?
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare has a very arcade/survival horror type feel. In this latest dev. diary, we get to see a once around discussion of the games progression and how the storyline and arcade mode came to be. They compare this iteration into the Alan Wake universe to something we might see from film director Quentin Tarantino. We also get to see where the game’s roots were planted in order to grow such creepy depictions of creatures in the night.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is set to release on the XBLA as the second game dropping in Microsoft’s House Party promotion.
