Mass Effect 3 Demo Includes Limited Xbox LIVE Gold Access

Without question Mass Effect 3 will be one of Microsoft’s biggest releases for the Xbox 360. It makes sense that the company would want as many Xbox 360 owners to get the chance to play the demo which releases on Feb. 14, 2012.

However, demos and the like are usually in the realm of Xbox LIVE Gold Members only, so a good portion of Xbox 360 owners would be left out in the cold.

Not so! said Microsoft: “In celebration of ME3, Xbox is pleased to provide fans access to ME3 demo multiplayer for the time leading to launch,” Microsoft announced. “Xbox LIVE Gold gives you exclusive benefits including multiplayer gaming, member-only deals & previews, and access to entertainment with Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus and more.”

No word was given on how “limited” the limited access will be, so if you Silverites plan on playing the demo next month you better do so within that week.

Some further news: Battlefield 3 owners will have access to the demo’s multiplayer features on the day the demo drops. Everyone else has to wait until February 17.
