Nintendo and Penny Arcade Make Comic Genius

Two of the most unlikely forces in gaming entertainment have become partners. Starting today, the first of five comics will be making their way to the interwebs. Nintendo has officially teamed up with Penny Arcade to bring fans Link and the essence of Hyrule in a light that some of us would have frankly never expected. Click here to check out the first comic dropping in the series.

I was 14 when I first played The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past,” said Penny Arcade artist Mike Krahulik. “That was 20 years ago, and today I am introducing my son to The Legend of Zelda. The opportunity to work with Nintendo to create a Zelda comic is not only an incredible honor, but quite literally a childhood dream come true.”

Gamers and fans of the Penny Arcade series will find a blend of the same PA style mixed with the magic of the Zelda series. Make sure to check back with the online comic site for the next installments to the series. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword launches November 20th. Fans can look forward to a newly introduced upgrade system and Wii Motion Plus emphasized style of play. Also, purchasing the game will include a copy of a musical CD, and the limited edition a gold Wii Motion Plus remote.
