New Cave Story 3D Trailer

The legendary fan favorite classic platformer Cave Story franchise is being rebooted into a remastered port for the Nintendo 3DS. Cave Story 3D will feature the same signature gameplay elements as the original while improving on the graphics and other mechanics, giving players the chance to experience the same platforming action like never before with full 3-D capability.

In this new Cave Story 3D trailer gamers get a glimpse of the game’s impressive environments and stages, which are built upon the classic title’s side-scrolling atmosphere. The graphics have received a complete overhaul and are quite stunning for a handheld console. The platforming action has returned in a whole new way, and will be a refreshing and enjoyable experience for long-time fans of the franchise.

Also included in the upcoming reboot of Cave Story is the new Paper Mode which allows gamers to play with the graphics from the original. This is a perfect feature for players who haven’t ever tried the first version, and this mode will also be adored by die-hard fans of the classic platformer. Nintendo is famous for including bits and pieces from the original titles in a franchise, and in this case players can basically relive the first Cave Story or play through the whole new edition.

Cave Story 3D will be available on November 8, 2011 (US) and November 11 (EU) for the NIntendo 3DS handheld console. For more information on the upcoming reboot please visit the game’s official website.
