Angry Fish Explodes Onto the XBLIG Marketplace
Angry Fish from Independent XNA studio FrozenSoft is pretty much just like the highly addicting iOS Indie Angry Birds from Rovio…except the Xbox Indie title uses fish instead of birds. Whether you think it’s a shameless clone or an enjoyable and fun game, it’s available on the Xbox Indies Marketplace for 80 MSP ($1).
“In this sequel to the critically acclaimed physics based action title FishCraft, the cats have gone too far!! Experience an epic tale of deceit and revenge as the fish take the fight to the cats homeland in 42 levels of extreme destruction.“
Angry Fish is a very physics-heavy puzzler, and the goal is to destroy the cute kitties by colliding with nearby objects. The fish have waged war on the cats, and they fight back with high-powered cannons as well as a variety of different fish types–including red fish, blue fish, and black fish that have their own special abilities.
Another interesting factoid is that Angry Fish is actually the sequel to another Xbox Indie called Fishcraft, also from FrozenSoft. This first title is basically the same as the recently released game, so there’s no real reason to buy them both unless you’re just that addicted to shooting fish out of a cannon.
