Diablo III Goes into Closed Beta
Blizzard Entertainment and Activisioin announced today the closed beta test for the highly-anticipated Diablo III has officially begun. The first wave of invitations have been sent to participants. Blizzard’s primary goal is to collect as much feedback from the invitees as possible in order to create the ideal online RPG experience that the franchise is know for worldwide.
The beta includes all of Act I, which pits players against the Skeleton King. Participants can either go solo or join with other adventurers cooperatively. Five hero classes are available: barbarian, witch doctor, monk, demon hunter and wizard. Choose wisely but don’t be afraid to experiment with every class. This is a beta after all and Blizzard is eager to crunch some numbers.
“This closed beta test is an important milestone for us as we enter the final stages of development on Diablo III,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Our goal is to create the best action role-playing game experience to date, building on everything we’ve learned since the release of Diablo II and incorporating the powerful features of the new Battle.net platform. We hope players enjoy participating in the beta test and we look forward to hearing their feedback.”
