Silent Hill: Downpour TGS 2011 Trailer

TGS 2011 has brought with it a host of gaming goodies for gamers around the world; trailers, screenshots, and reveals of some of this year’s most anticipated titles. Amongst them is a thrilling trailer from Konami featuring footage from Silent Hill: Downpour, the latest in the classic horror survival franchise. The video is accompanied with a creepy soundtrack from Korn.

This chapter of Konami’s well-known series tells the story of Murphy Pendleton, a convict being transferred to a state penitentiary. A freak accident brings an opportune moment for his escape, and soon he is freed only to become a prisoner of the nightmare town of Silent Hill.

Soon Pendleton discovers that he’d rather be locked in a maximum security prison than be anywhere near the hallowed place–at least in prison he’d be safe from what lurks in the darkness.

This trailer reveals that Silent Hill: Downpour keeps the signature dark and malevolent atmosphere that defines the series, and gives an intimate look at Pendleton’s journey into the infamous town where people walk in but never walk out.
