Super Mario Land 3D New Screens and Release Date
Release Date: November 13, 2011
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
E3 2011 was just a hair over three months ago and Super Mario Land 3D was just starting to become more than an announcement. One of the most notable items coming from the plumbers plunge onto the 3D console was the title of the game hosting what looked to be the unforgettable tanooki suit’s tail. This slowly became a reality upon E3 2011 when the game was playable outside the Nintendo Press Conference and then on the show floor.
While the game is shaping up to be every bit of awesome that a Mario title should be, players often wonder, “What about the 3D?” “How good IS it?” After playing the title first hand, I can tell you that, even in the early stages, what else can you expect from a first party game on the developers own console? If you didn’t get the subtle hint, well, yeah it IS good.
The game promises better controls with the use of the circle pad, which was extremely comfortable in the playable demo. Even enemies like the Goomba’s sported tails and there were plenty of other enemies to test the 3D capabilities. Enjoy the trailer and wrap your mind around this tertiary dimension of awesomeness.
