Get to the Bottom of These Sherlock Holmes Screenshots
Sherlock Holmes has starred in video games for well over a decade, but they don’t get a lot of attention due to their PC-bound nature. Frogwares is seeking to change that with The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, a mystery adventure game developed specifically for consoles.
The most recent batch of screenshots, which you can see below, was released to showcase the capabilities of Frogwares’s new graphical engine. Pay particular attention to how it handles weathered skin, and the obligatory corpses.
If you’re wondering about the plot of this installment, Holmes is working to solve a case that he himself has been framed for.
If you’re wondering what a Sherlock Holmes game would even play like, I highly recommend 2007’s Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, which is a crossover between Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and H.P. Lovecraft.
The Testament of Sherlock Holmes will be available this fall for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
