Blocky Coming Soon to Xbox Indies Marketplace

From the Independent XNA development studio Think Flow Games comes an insane arcade-style Indie mashup called Blocky.

Blocky is currently in Peer Review at this time and is scheduled for a early to mid-September launch date. The game itself looks to have high-paced frenetic arcade action, with elements from classic arcade titles such as Geometry Wars and Pacman.

This upcoming Xbox Indie also exhibits RPG aspects with a progressive rewards system that allows players to purchase upgrades and powerups to aid them through the challenging levels.

Blocky has two modes of play: Retro, which pits a player in an arena full of enemies in a test of survival. The second game mode is Waves, which is a more goal-oriented play mode that puts emphasis on particular tasks instead of just annihilating enemies.

Check below for the official trailer and a few screenshots showing off the game in action.
