What Race Will You Be in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?

From Dunmer to Aldmer, Snowmen, Khajiiti and funny-named Argonians, the newest package of Skyrim screenshots shows players how each race can be represented in their upcoming epic RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Whether you’d like to be a bipedal tigerman who stalks his prey in the shadows, or a lock-picking Imperial bandit who betrays the Imperial Legion, the choice is up to you–as it’s always been–in any Elder Scrolls title.

These open-world RPG’s have always put an emphasis on freedom, and Skyrim goes a long way in character customization, making not a pixellated avatar that acts as a person’s idyllic physical representation, but a complete work of art with cultural undertones. Now each character race has distinctive features that sets it apart from the others, giving players the chance to fully customize their virtual appearance.

Take the hearty Nords, for example. Now players can actually see the scars and tattoos that decorate the faces of these ancient viking warriors. The Khajiiti are marvelously represented as well, as every single walking cat-man has the face of a tiger–not just cat ears and fangs, we’re talking manes and stripes and all.

Check below for a gallery of screenshots that expose the faces and races of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
