Afterlife: Ground Zero Tech Demo Shows Off Graphical Might of the iPad 2
After a tech demo of the Unreal Engine 3-powered Afterlife: Ground Zero leaked onto Youtube yesterday, developer Trendy Entertainment decided to take advantage of the new hype and release a higher-quality video. As I said, the game utilizes the highly-versatile UE3 engine to great success as you will soon see. Honestly, if you quickly showed the gameplay to someone in order to trick into believing it’s Gears of War, for a second you might just be believed.
The video was originally meant to be nothing more than something to show off the graphics potential of the iPad 2 to Trendy’s business partners. The company tells us that the UI is not final, as it was put together in around an hour for demonstration purposes only.
The game itself is a third-person, co-op, survival-horror shooter made exclusively for the iPad 2. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, the team is shooting for a game with RPG elements, multiple classes, re-playability and more.
