Punk Went Crunk, Now it Goes Nintendo.

The Vans Warped Tour and Summer go together like peanut butter and jelly. The Marco to my Polo, if you will. Throw me into the mix and it’s a peanut butter, jelly, and banana sammich. Yes, sammich.

I have been going to the Warped Tour for the past nine years consecutively, until last year. It was a great disappointment when I had to miss out on last year because of scheduling conflicts. This year is already shaping up to be a great time. Bands mentioned in the Nintendo press release were pretty meh. Except for Paramore, because Hayley Williams, we belong together.

While this could easily turn into my rant about how much I love bands like The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, or A Day to Remember, there is another reason for this long winded announcement. Nintendo is planning to bring the 3D to you.

Through August 15th, Nintendo will be housing a portable station filled with games like a ton of games for players to get their mitts on while taking a break from being submersed in sweaty punk kids, or missed spin kicks from someone’s hardcore dance.

Here’s the list of available games that will be available to play:
The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D, Super Street Fighter® IV 3D Edition, DEAD OR ALIVE® Dimensions, Super Monkey Ball™ 3D, Madden NFL Football, RIDGE RACER® 3D and Resident Evil®: The Mercenaries 3D.

It wouldn’t be a punk rock concert without tattoos right? If you were too much of a sissy to undergo the pain of a real needle then you’re in luck. Utilize the augmented reality features by playing some AR games and using temporary AR card tattoos.
