RAGE’s Pages Due Today

The post-apocalyptic card has been played once or twice, and thrice on Sundays, but id software’s RAGE may take the view of barren landscape and drive the existence of humanity below the surface for a slightly differing view on survival.

What happens to humanity when the world is struck by an asteroid and forced to dwell below the crust? We begin to discover just how resourceful the population has now become and how entities of power, such as the Authority, threaten with the uses of their resources.

Similar adaptations from comic to video game are common. In this day and age, games also see comic book light, similar to games like The Darkness in co-development with Top Cow Productions, and make their way to shelves in a shop nearest you.

If you missed our RAGE hands on at E3 2011, you can check it out here.

Based on id Software’s upcoming first-person shooter RAGE, the three-issue comic book series is an original miniseries written by Arvid Nelson, the acclaimed creator of Rex Mundi, and penciled by Andrea Mutti (DMZ). The cover art was created by Glenn Fabry, best known for his work on Hellblazer and Preacher, the comic’s variant cover was created by Stephan Martiniere, the art director on RAGE. Set prior to the events in the game, the comics are an extension of the RAGE universe and provide insights into the game’s
storyline.

*RAGE releases October 4th, 2011 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
