E3 2011: Exit NGP, Enter Vita

If you thought your christmas Wish list was thick enough as it was, think again. Sony today announced not only the name of the new hand held successor, but release window and price. The Playstation Vita (Meaning “Life” in Latin) will debut this holiday season for $249.99 and $299.99. Here is the break down of the price differences.

Wi-Fi Model: 24,980 Yen (including tax), $249 and euro 249

3G/Wi-Fi Model: 29,980 Yen (including tax), $299 and euro 299

The carrier for the 3G models will be held exclusively through AT&T. I know I to was a bit disappointed but overall how often will you use the 3G? Either way pre-order this bad boy now because at a reasonable price point, a slew of games and awesome functionality, the Vita will be flying quickly.
