E3 2011:Papo & Yo Preview
Platform: PlayStation 3
Release Date: 2012
In this odd robot, monster and human friend triangle, one turns into a wild beast with the ingestion of an amphibian. Can you guess which one that is? If you missed the trailer for this boy and his toy, there is definitely something promising about this PlayStation Network title. The game gives us something that is often found in these digital only titles, which is simply its uniqueness.
As you will see in the trailer, it tells the story of Quico, his robot Lula, and Monster. While it looks as though this title will blend not only art style with other gracious gaming efforts, it looks to add puzzler/adventurer to its bag of tricks.
Not much else is known about this impressive looking downloadable title on the PSN. There will be more to come this week as we get our hands on this classic yet-colorful tale.
Over the course of time, the quality of graphics have improved significantly for digital only titles. It is almost sad to admit, but the current graphics for these titles are just as good, if not better, than the launch titles for these former next-gen consoles. But hey, that’s another can of worms.
Our hands on impressions for Papo & Yo will kick off this week as we head to Sony’s booth to check out this unique title. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @GAMINGtruth for E3 updates.
