UFC Undisputed 3 Hitting January 2012

THQ has gone on the record to say that they were interested in putting the UFC franchise on a longer development cycle, rather than putting the title out annually. Personally I thought it was a very intelligent move on THQ’s part. With that in mind, THQ has announced that UFC Undisputed 3 will be hitting store shelves in January 2012 for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3 Consoles.

“This product is intense, engaging and highly competitive while still being extremely accessible, making it a must-have for millions of UFC fans, traditional fighting game enthusiasts and more casual sports fans around the world.”

The new Undisputed 3 will feature over 150 different fighters, two new weight classes, new Submission system, and a new “Pride Mode”. No more is know about the project but we do know that the Publisher has extended the UFC license through 2018 and Undisputed 3 will feature high visual upgrades, ring entrances and different camera positions. As a UFC fan I can not wait to see this game in action. Possibly at E3?
