MDK 2 Releases as WiiWare
Release Date: May 9, 2011
Price: 1,000 Wii Points
It was only but a few days ago that this tweet was jokingly posted to my twitter feed. Maybe not jokingly, but in the hopes that someone in the community might also be looking at the same thing and deposit this seed of creation in just the right developers mind.
For those who are not familiar with the MDK storyline, Kurt Hectic and his upgradable suit must rid the Earth of some dastardly alien scum. Dr. Hawkins and his brilliance in weaponry aid Kurt in plowing the path of these horrid creatures. Along with a few other friends, one of which is the six-limbed-bullet-tooth-hound by the name of Max, the team must once again save the universe from evil.
Kurts unique suit allowed for such abilities as becoming arrow dynamic on a straight flight to Earth, or delicately gliding to the ground in enemy territory to deliver a storm of bullets. Kurt has access to enough fire power and wits to send these alien scum off of our planet and back where they came from.
This was one of the things that drove me to love MDK and name it as such an amazing title. For the time, it was sporting some of the best graphics around, but all the while matching graphics and gameplay with wit and humor. With its newly announced release into the WiiWare vault, a new generation will get their paws on some major fire power and humor.
Although it is not a remake, it is a release worth shelling out some points for.
